is a Full Gospel, Bible-believing, Holy Spirit-filled church located in the beautiful city of Grafton, West Virginia, surrounded by the breathtaking mountains of Taylor County. Our congregation is a growing, diverse group of people of all ages and backgrounds, united by faith in Jesus Christ. We offer something for everyone, with groups and activities for Men, Women, Youth, and Children. Beyond Sunday services, we’re committed to serving our community, reaching out beyond our church walls to make a difference.
Message of Freedom Church is a thriving ministry that reaches souls for Christ through various programs: a weekly television broadcast, community tent ministry, an impactful website, and international outreach efforts. We believe God is still at work, and we’re excited for what He has in store!
Pastor Mike Stottlemyer was born in Cumberland, MD. From a young age, it was clear that God had a special plan for his life. As a child, he helped his parents with their tent ministry, setting up and tearing down the portable sanctuary. Mike preached his first sermon at just 18 years old in January 1998, and soon after, he started leading midweek services at the Potomac Valley Revival Center, the church his grandfather founded.
In 1999, Mike married Mandy, his lifelong partner in ministry. Together, they have worked side by side, taking down strongholds and spreading the Gospel. Mike began preaching under the very tents he once helped set up, continuing the legacy of his parents’ ministry, Message of Freedom Tent Ministry.
In 2001, they felt a strong call to plant a church in Cresaptown, MD, starting with just 14 people at their first service, but with the powerful presence of God.
God led the Stottlemyers to Bridgeport, WV, where Pastor Mike took on the role of pastor at another church. After almost two years of preparation, he launched Message of Freedom Church on February 3, 2004, continuing the legacy of the tent ministry his parents had started. By September 2005, God opened the door for them to purchase the church where they are now rooted.
The Stottlemyer's have three children, Michael, Isaiah and Anna.
Since stepping into ministry, Pastor Mike has seen hundreds of lives transformed through his passionate, “old-fashioned” preaching. He has witnessed countless healings through the miracle-working power of God. Each week, he feeds his growing congregation, whether in person or through his weekly TV broadcast. Pastor Mike travels across the U.S. and internationally, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
And the journey isn’t over yet—God is still writing this story, and Pastor Mike and his family are excited for what’s to come!
1. Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the infallible rule of faith and conduct; that it was written by Holy men of old as they were moved by the the Holy Spirit.

2. The Godhead
We believe that there is one true and living God; that in the unity of the Godhead, there are three, equal in attributes, but executing distinct harmonious offices. God the Father, the Creator of heaven and earth, and all that is therein, sent His only Son to redeem and reconcile the world to Himself. Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son, born of the Virgin Mary, conceived by the Holy Ghost, became flesh and dwelt among us, the only Mediator between God and man. Holy Ghost, the third person of the Trinity, omnipresent, omnipotent, fulfilling on earth the office of reprover of sin, righteousness, and judgment, the Comforter, leader and guide to all who yield themselves to Him ministration.
